ALRA - Seasonal Employment
Whenever possible, the ALRA hires staff from the community of Arbour
Lake. Summer is a very busy time and traditionally university students
have provided a great source of enthusiastic, energetic staffing
for Arbour Lake. During the long summer days, there are opportunities
for several staff members, and later in the fall, positions are
available for those interested in weekend and evening work. When
the ice is ready for skating, we are again open until 9 PM, and
positions are available in the office, and also for ice maintenance
and snow removal.

Community Association
The Community Association is a separate organization from the Residents
Association. The Community Association is a non-profit, volunteer
group comprised of your neighbours, who work with the City Planning
Department, run all kinds of kids sports, and operate the hall at
the pavilion. They also approach the city regarding traffic, busing
and street concerns. Click

Like all of Calgary´s community associations, nothing would
happen if it weren´t for their volunteers. Adults can serve
on the community association in many ways. Social functions at the
hall, organizing and coaching sports, newsletters, block watch,
serving on the executive, and helping on the many committees and
fundraisers are all important. This is a great way to meet your
neighbours and to really belong to a community. If you would like
to see things happen, roll up your sleeves and get involved, give
your name to the volunteer coordinator today! Calgary has a great
reputation for volunteerism - let´s work together and put Arbour
Lake at the top of the list for Calgary communities.
